Hunter Conservation Camps

NWTF California has partnered with California Waterfowl Association for the third year in a row to help support the Hunter Conservation Camps. The camps will be hosted at CWA’s Grizzly Ranch in Suisun Marsh. These camps are incredible opportunities for kids to learn firearm safety, hunter safety, conservation practices and the roles that hunters play in conserving our wildlife.

The camps are open to kids ages 10-17. For beginner hunters, a five-day camps run June 12-17 and July 10-14. For those who have already hunted for at least one season, camps run June 19-23 and July 17-21. Beginning Hunter camps include weekend camps with hunter’s certification. Furthermore, waterfowl conservation and waterfowl hunting instruction get youths ready to go waterfowling. Hunter Skills and Duck Camps for the new hunter give them confidence and skills to excel in the field.

We also teach the material in some unique ways. These include hands-on activities like egg-salvage, duck banding, shooting, and archery. Our philosophy: retain 10% of what you hear, 20% of what you see and 60% of what you do.

These camps are filling up quick. Hurry and get signed up so you don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to get your kids involved!

The kids!
